Brown's Creek Event Report

The Sue May Lewis Single Track Celebration at Brown's Creek delivered an awesome kickoff for Season 10. Nearly 600 student-athletes from across the state enjoyed a weekend filled with fun and excitement. Despite some rain on Friday, the course soaked up the water and provided great riding conditions. A huge thank you to the Town of Elizabethtown, Cape Fear Area SORBA, Two Wheeler Dealer, and Bladen County EMS for their continued support!

Programs Fusion!

Brown’s Creek had something for everyone! In addition to racing, we had games, a skills course, a Teen Trail Corps hosted trail audit, an Adventure course, and a host of GRiT activities - including a photo scavenger hunt with the GRiT Mentor Program that saw a record number of new 5th and 6th grade student athletes!

Economic Impact Survey

We invite everyone who attended the Browns Creek event to complete our brief Economic Impact Survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JBBZNB8. Your participation truly makes a difference - high response rates have helped us secure new venues and enabled multiple local communities to obtain grants for building new trails. By filling out this survey, you’re directly helping us get more kids on bikes and grow the sport across North Carolina. Thank you for taking a few moments to support our league’s future!

Trek Giveaway

Brown’s Creek also marked the launch of this season’s TREK Giveaway! Enter to get a chance at winning a new Trek Supercaliber, Bontrager WaveCell helmet, or an Ion light set.

The top three teams raising the most money by the Thursday before the Y2K Panic event at Tryon will earn the chance to compete in a special foot-down contest! at the event! Each winning team can select five student-athletes and five coaches to participate, and some fun prizes will be awarded to the winning team.

Our next event is the Y2K Panic at Tryon Equestrian Center on March 13 and 14. The category petition deadline is March 6 at 11:59 PM, and registration closes on March 8 at 11:59 PM in PitZone. Registering ensures student athletes receive the correct call-up position, and for GRIT events, helps us make sure we have enough coaches for the GRIT pre-ride. Please register to help the weekend run smoothly!
